Biotechnology: Biological Sciences Option to Applied Molecular Biology and Biotechnology

An opportunity to gain an associate degree from Delaware Tech and a bachelor's degree from University of Delaware.

Your Path to a Bachelor's Degree

Delaware Tech has established agreements with four-year colleges and universities that connect Delaware Tech associate degree programs with bachelor's degree programs to create smooth transfer opportunities for you. These Connected Degree programs enable you to complete your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year degree program as a junior.

The Connected Degree 2+2 Curriculum

Delaware Tech's associate degree program in Biotechnology: Biological Sciences Option offers students a theoretical and practical education in various aspects of biology and chemistry that can be applied to diverse careers in the medical, environmental, industrial, and agricultural fields. Standard techniques used in science laboratories are covered, and special emphasis is placed on science and math instruction to prepare students for upper-level course work. The University of Delaware's Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (BAMBB) prepares students to work in a wide variety of bio-technology-related settings. The program emphasizes hands-on training and practical experience, while providing a solid foundation in the basic subjects from which biotechnology evolved. Faculty from academia and industry will give students a broad perspective of biotechnology's applications and possibilities. Integrated into the curriculum are required practical internships, where students will gain additional experience in real world laboratory settings.
