An opportunity to gain an associate degree from Delaware Tech and a bachelor's degree from Delaware State University.

Your Path to a Bachelor's Degree

Delaware Tech has established agreements with four-year colleges and universities that connect Delaware Tech associate degree programs with bachelor's degree programs to create smooth transfer opportunities for you. These Connected Degree programs enable you to complete your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year degree program as a junior.

The Connected Degree 2+2 Curriculum

Delaware Tech's Early Care and Education (Birth to Second Grade) Option combines the Early Childhood Development curriculum with a student transfer focus. The program prepares students for transfer to four-year in-state institutions to complete requirements for a bachelor's degree and early care/education (Birth to Second Grade) teaching certification. This program offers students the opportunity to work toward a four-year degree while preparing for the various positions in the field of early childhood. Delaware State University's Early Childhood Education (Birth to Grade 2) program prepares students to become licensed to teach kindergarten through grade two in Delaware's public, private and parochial schools. They also can teach in early care programs ranging from birth through preschool, including childcare centers, Head Start, and Early Head Start. Students receive direct, practical teaching experience and are prepared for careers in teaching, research, administration, and related fields.
