The Connected Degree 2+2 Curriculum
Delaware Tech's Elementary Education degree will prepare you to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete your bachelor's degree and become certified to teach in an elementary school. A focus on educational strategies is an important aspect of our program. You will also have the opportunity to interact with children in a classroom setting through observation and service learning experiences. When you graduate, you will have learned instructional strategies that support the Delaware common core standards for reading, writing, and mathematics. Students learn to teach all academic subjects, with extra emphasis on literacy and multicultural/multiethnic classrooms. The program emphasizes direct, hands-on experience in real-world classrooms and incorporates the most current theories in learning, assessment, and child development.
