These Connected Degree programs enable you to complete your associate degree and then transfer to a four-year degree program as a junior.

The Connected Degree 2+2 Curriculum

Delaware Tech's associate degree program in Production Agriculture prepares graduates to grow and market crops and livestock. A thorough knowledge of marketing, management, and finance as well as production skills are the keys to a career as an agriculture producer. In this program, students apply basic agribusiness management procedures to the production and marketing of agriculture products. They will Integrate pest management procedures into crop production techniques, demonstrate production techniques related to sustainable agriculture, demonstrate scheduling, production, marketing, harvesting, and safe handling of crops, describe the importance of poultry, livestock, and crop production to the agriculture industry, and assess breeding, care, and nutrition of livestock animals. Delaware State University's Bachelor of Science degree program in Agriculture, General Agriculture Concentration is built around direct, practical experience. Agriculture majors have opportunities to work on Delaware State's demonstration farms, in the extension programs, and on research initiatives, gaining professional knowledge and problem-solving skills that translate directly to the workplace. Students work with the most current technologies and techniques in a full range of agricultural specialties, including water and soil management, crop production, animal and poultry science, business, marketing, and sales, and environmental conservation.
